Top Reasons to own 2017 BMW 5-series

Will the 7th generation M5 return to the much-appreciated and liked athletic poise of E39 is the question that many M5 fans are asking. The last two generations of M5, the top-performing sedan of BMW 5 series lineup and among the best ever fun four-door car, have been criticized for not having as good a poise as E39, which was made between 1995 and 2003 and considered by many as the best car ever made. BMW M5 fans would love the 2017 BMW 5 Series to have the same equilibrium, poise, and stability as E39.

For a definite answer, we will have to wait for the release of the latest edition, which will come in 3 variants—the sedan, the Gran Turismo, and touring. Let’s check out the specifications, features, price, and release date of this much-anticipated new edition.
Features & Specifications
In 2017 BMW 5 series, you will find a much-improved front fascia, which will make use of chrome elements to lend it a premium and sporty look. BMW will make some other notable changes that will leave the fans pleasantly surprised. One such change is a new feature of LED car headlights. In addition, the new edition will also include a laser lighting option.
Expect the latest model to be lighter than its predecessor. The chassis will use a mix of aluminum, steel, and carbon fiber. As far as the layout look goes, BMW has opted against tinkering with it, mainly because the consumers are happy with it as it is at present. The measurements of the 2017 BMW 5 series are 4.9 meters in length and 1.9 meters in width. This, in turn, means there will be substantial space for passengers in the inside.
The latest edition will feature the same 4.4 liter V-8 as its predecessor. However, the good news is that it will have a better output. The maximum output of the new M5 will be 600 hp (The current version goes up to 575 hp.). BMW will incorporate tire treads of Mercedes-Benz and Audi. It will also add 4-wheel drive.
BMW is expected to add many sophisticated features to M5, like 2-axle air suspension and 4-wheel steering. Along with these, the sedan will come with a digital infotainment system and laser-lighting for headlights, making it a complete luxurious sedan.
Price & Release Date
There’s no official word on the pricing as of yet. Expect the price to be in line with that of current model. The starting price is expected to be over $50,000. Consumers in Germany are likely to be able to buy M5 in the 3rd quarter of the next year. Consumers elsewhere will have to wait a little longer as the new edition is not expected to hit the global market before the 4th quarter of 2017.
